PLANTAIN CAKE



Plantain leaf cake


INGREDIENTS


1. Rice flour -1cup
2. Grated Jaggery - half cup
3. Grated Coconut ( half cup)
4. Water
5. Salt - pinch
6. Plantain leaves 

NOW WE ARE READY TO PREPARE ,THE MOST DELICIOUS PLANTAIN LEAF CAKE

  • MIX ALL THE ABOVE INGREDIENTS (1-5) WITH WATER TO FORM A DOUGH WHICH SHOULD BE SOFTER THAN PURI DOUGH.
  • TAKE THE PLANTAIN LEAF MAKE IT INTO PIECES.
  • TAKE A SMALL BOWL WITH LITTLE WATER IN IT.
  • CLEAN THE PLANTAIN LEAF FIRST.
  • TAKE ONE PIECE OF LEAF AND TAKE A SMALL QUANTITY OF DOUGH AND SPREAD IT OVER THE PLANTAIN LEAF AND FOLD THE LEAF.
  • MAKE  SUFFICIENT PIECES OF FOLDS LIKE THE ABOVE SAID AND KEEP ASIDE.
  • TAKE IDLI COOKER OR STEAM OVEN AND PLACE THESE FOLDS IN IT.
  • COOK FOR 15 MINUTES AND LEAVE IT FOR 10 MINUTES TO COOL DOWN.OPEN THE COOKER AND SERVE IT . YOUR PLANTAIN LEAF CAKE IS READY.  

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT DISH FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES, HEALTHIER BESIDE THE OILY ONES.KIDS WILL LOVE IT. TO CHANGE THE TASTE YOU CAN CHANGE THE FLOUR FROM RICE TO WHEAT OR RAGGI  OR YOU CAN EVEN MIX ALL THE THREE.JUST TRY IT YOUR KIDS WILL BE HAPPY  AND ALSO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. THANK YOU
